Bachelor of Theology

Apply for BTh Entrance Exam

The BTh is a three-year undergraduate degree programme covering Old & New Testament, Church History, Systematic Theology, Practical Theology, African Christianity, and Development Studies. Students complete 180 credit points over six semesters and present a research paper in their final year.

  • ✓ GCE Ordinary Level (5 subjects including English) or equivalent
  • ✓ Letter of endorsement from church/denomination
  • ✓ Pass the PTS Kumba Entrance Examination
  • ✓ Evidence of Christian commitment and call to ministry

MTh

Master of Theology

Apply for MTh Online

The MTh was introduced in 2008 and offers advanced theological research. Students complete 120 credit points comprising 15 courses, a practicum, and a 24-credit thesis. The programme trains ministers for advanced theological reflection and research.

MACL

Master of Arts in Church Leadership

The MACL equips church leaders with advanced skills in leadership, administration, and ministry management for both secular and ecclesiastical structures.

Doctor of Philosophy in Theology

The highest academic degree offered at PTS Kumba. Year 1 covers coursework and comprehensive examination; Years 2–3 are devoted to dissertation writing and defence.
